Xiph QuickTime Components (XiphQT) are collection of QuickTime 'plug-ins' providing support for the xiph.org media compression formats.

Win32 Installation

Copy XiphQT.qtx file to the 'QTComponents' sub-folder of your base QuickTime installation directory. Typically it means:

C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTComponents

You may need to create the 'QTComponents' folder if it doesn't already exist in your QuickTime installation.

Note

If you have installed on your machine the old OggVorbis component from

http://qtcomponents.sf.net/ you will need to remove it before installing XiphQT!

Possible locations of the OggVorbis.qtx file include:

• <WINDOWS>\system32\QuickTime (replace <WINDOWS> with the base system directory of your Windows installation, e.g. C:\WINNT)
• <QUICKTIME>\QTComponents (e.g. C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTComponents)

Or you can just search for OggVorbis.qtx file on your system hard drive.
