What We're Doing

We're implementing and debugging new features such as a denoiser, echo canceller, and a jitter buffer. In addition, we're testing out a new VAD.

How You Can Help

Consider...

• writing a plugin for your favorite audio player
• helping make Speex a more widely recognized standard; work is already underway to make Speex an IETF-blessed standard, but work still remains in that arena. If you know of an organization that standardizes (on) audio compression codecs, consider proposing Speex as an option.
• Test and push the limits of the software
